Boston Celtics Roster Update
2023-24 NBA Roster Announced
Point Guards
The Celtics will be led by All-Star point guard Marcus Smart, who is entering his eighth season with the team. He will be backed up by Payton Pritchard and Malcolm Brogdon.
Shooting Guards
Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum will once again form one of the most dynamic wing duos in the league. Sam Hauser and Justin Jackson will provide depth at the position.
Power Forwards
Al Horford returns for his second stint with the Celtics and will provide veteran leadership and a strong presence in the frontcourt. Grant Williams and Blake Griffin will also see minutes at the four.
Small Forwards
Tatum will primarily play small forward, but the Celtics have several other options at the position, including Danilo Gallinari, Hauser, and Jackson.
Centers
Robert Williams III is expected to miss the start of the season with a knee injury. In his absence, Horford and Griffin will fill in at center. Mfiondu Kabengele and Luke Kornet will also provide depth.
