The Department of Education, abbreviated as DepEd (Kagawaran ng Edukasyon), is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for the provision of basic education. As such, DepEd has issued a list of schools with high school graduates who are eligible to enroll in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) under the Senior High School Support Program.
According to DO 008, S. 2024, the Senior High School Support Program aims to support students from low-income families in pursuing higher education by providing them with financial assistance and academic support. To be eligible for the program, students must have graduated from a public or private high school in the Philippines with an average grade of 85% or higher and must come from a family with an annual income of less than Php 500,000.00.
The list of schools with high school graduates who are eligible to enroll in HEIs under the Senior High School Support Program can be found on the DepEd website. Students who are interested in applying for the program must submit their applications to the HEIs of their choice. The deadline for application is on July 31, 2024.
The Senior High School Support Program is a significant initiative of the DepEd to make higher education more accessible to students from low-income families.
